Writing string literal quickly using the ‘:’ operator in the Ring programming language

We can type string literal quickly using the ‘:’ operator in the Ring programming language.

Example

aList = [:apple,:google,:ibm]
see aList
for x in aList
switch x
on :google x=”one”
on :apple x =”two”
on :ibm x = “three”
off
next
see aList

Output

apple
google
ibm
two
one
three
